The FREQCON Multi-Source Converter (MSC) can actively contribute to grid stability by precisely supporting frequency and voltage. It can operate in both grid-following and grid-forming modes. Our hybrid converter provides a durable, highly available system with a design lifespan of over 20 years, tailored to your project requirements through the targeted use of high-performance medium-voltage components. The system meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.
With our modular, scalable power range from 350 kW up to the multi-megawatt range, and implementation in standardized container solutions, the MSC is suitable for a wide variety of applications. The system can be fully customized to meet your specific needs. Our converter also enables flexible integration of various energy sources—including wind, photovoltaics, battery storage, and fuel cells. All systems can be connected via a common DC intermediate circuit, which not only reduces investment and installation costs but also increases the efficiency and integration level of the overall system. Thanks to our fully integrated, in-house energy management system (EMS), even complex, project-specific requirements can be reliably implemented.
The FREQCON grid converter achieves an efficiency of up to 98%. Naturally, our hybrid converter also complies with all relevant grid connection regulations (Grid Codes), including VDE 4110 and VDE 4120.
