Trade Fairs & Events 2026
E-world in Essen
The E-world 2026 in Essen once again provided FREQCON with the perfect platform to present our innovative solutions for the energy transition to an international professional audience. With over 37,000 trade visitors from 126 nations and 1,136 exhibitors, the fair became a dynamic and inspiring meeting point for the energy industry. Energy suppliers, municipal utilities, industrial companies, service providers, as well as research and development were particularly well represented – ideal target groups for our technologies in grid stabilization and energy storage solutions.
The event once again demonstrated the sector’s growth potential, with +40% growth in the innovation area and a significantly higher participation of start-ups. Key topics included digitalization, AI-supported control, storage technologies, renewable energies, smart meters, and critical infrastructure security. For us, it was particularly interesting to see how extensively new business models and digital solutions were being discussed across all areas of the energy industry.

Our exhibition stand in Hall 6, featuring an integrated meeting room, combined numerous innovations with our tried-and-tested elements. Exhibits of our converter and battery technologies, 3D models of real projects, and our image and product film on a large LED screen attracted many visitors. We engaged in numerous in-depth discussions with industry professionals and decision-makers from around the world. This allowed us to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new contacts for future projects. The exchange on climate neutrality, flexibility management, and energy efficiency was particularly valuable for us. The fair impressively highlighted the global challenges and opportunities in the energy industry.
Many international guests from the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, and Belgium took the opportunity to learn more about our technologies. The atmosphere was characterized by a high level of professionalism, innovation, and hands-on discussions. We look forward to participating in E-world 2027, when the exhibition will expand with new halls and place a focus on “Resilient Infrastructure.” For FREQCON, E-world continues to be the central platform to connect innovation, networking, and knowledge exchange in the most effective way.

smarter E Conferences and smarter E in Munich
This year’s The smarter E Europe in Munich got off to a very special start for us. As part of the preceding The smarter E Conference on June 23, our colleague Christoph Richter delivered a presentation on island grids, black start capability, and grid-forming technologies.
Speaking to a distinguished audience of energy experts from around the world, he used the MVA Ingolstadt project as a practical example to demonstrate how FREQCON designs and manufactures sophisticated systems for critical infrastructure, significantly enhancing system resilience.
The presentation highlighted the crucial role that grid-forming technologies and advanced control systems will play in ensuring a secure, stable, and resilient energy supply for the future.

The main exhibition, The smarter E Europe 2026, which took place from June 23–25, once again demonstrated why it is regarded as Europe’s largest alliance of exhibitions for the energy industry. With more than 2,650 exhibitors from 52 countries and around 105,000 trade visitors from 163 nations, the event was entirely dedicated to advancing a sustainable and future-proof energy supply.
The exhibition itself sent a strong message: innovative energy storage solutions, intelligent grid management, virtual power plants, and digital energy systems clearly demonstrated that the technologies required for a renewable energy future are already available. The intensive exchange of ideas at ees Europe once again confirmed that grid stability, security of supply, and system flexibility are becoming increasingly important as the energy transition accelerates.
We look back on three highly successful days filled with inspiring conversations, valuable new contacts, and fresh ideas. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to meet with us and look forward to turning these insights into future projects and collaborations.
