Converter for high peak currents

FREQCON has expanded the product range of converter systems. Now we are also able to supply high peak current systems for short-term operation.

Overload factors up to 350% are available for models up to 1000 A nominal current. Overload ratings up to 220% are available for models up to 1500 A. Overload times are in the range of a few seconds.

According to customer specifications higher overload factors can also be realized.

The converters are only adapted in a few critical components with the result that we achieve an excellent cost level.

Applications are in the area of grid support with active and reactive power, in the area of short-term UPS (uninterruptable power supply) as well as in the area of short-circuit support in public and isolated networks.
